Christina Applegate is People's Most Beautiful Star of 2009. Seriously.

Christina Applegate is People's Most Beautiful Star of 2009.

Seriously.

I was speechless when I knew, I mean I've come to love her shows and all, and she had cancer, but seriously guys, we're talking about the Most Beautiful Star for 2009. Now that Christina Applegate is on top of the list then anyone could be make it next year. Scary.

Can someone review the tally sheets? There could be some glitch in the system or something. I dunno. I'm thinking swine flu virus. Whatchutink?

Giraud Out, Lambert Bottomed

Now on Idol---

I wasn't able to watch it coz I was sick. I was in bed the whole day with no TV, no food, no water, no boyfriend and no underwear.

Adam Lambert was "bottomed" for the first time (sorry, I do not have his picture). And to make the story short, Matt Giraud finally said goodbye. Oh well, it's just about time, he's had a million chances already and clearly, noone in his right mind would ever believe he could ever ever win the title, no offense to his fans.

Dumanjug of All Places...

Prince Harry was thought to have been spotted in Dumanjug, Cebu.

What a shocker. I mean of all places he picked Dumanjug to visit, I mean hello, he could've just gone to Ayala or SM--- or Numero Doce for that matter. According to accounts, " Harry was part of a group of around 20 youths, mostly Tagalog-speaking who started painting the façade of the Dumanjug Central School".

Bummer. I bet none of the folks in that barangay had a digicam. Tsk tsk.

Who The Hell Is Stefani Germanotta???

I'm so bored after a long shift that I went back to my usual hobby of googling up favorite names (including my name sometimes) to know what's new. Today I typed Lady Gaga and I found something really interesting.

Her real name seemed unusual (from a Filipino gay guy's perspective). Her real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. Sounds like "Notta ng German". Lol

Anyways, I got some interesting facts:

>She was born in Yonkers, New York and attended a private Catholic girls school

>She wroteher first piano ballad at age 13

>She moved out of home and never took any help from her parents. She had a wealthy family by the way with her internet entrepreneur dad.

>She worked as a waitress and stripper when she moved out of home.

>She wrote hits for the Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears and New Kids On The Block.

>She got the Lady Gaga name from Queen's hit "Radio Ga Ga."

The rest is then Gaga history as she transformed from this----

To This.----

Now that's what I call diva extra-ordinaire.

And then there were 5...

Jamie Foxx mentored Brat Pack night and I just could not understand why.

Hell, why?

Anyways, the performances were awesome, Gokey, Iraheta and Lambert have again rendered the best performances. The best top 5 I've seen, needless to say. I am hoping Iraheta would make it to the Top 3, she deserves a slot there more than Kris Allen.

I however think Matt Giraud, Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen are in danger tonight. Both Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta got bad reviews from Simon while Matt Giraud got praises from Count Cowell.

If I were to decide, I want Giraud out tomorrow.

Tyra Banks amidst a pool of super skinny Giselle Bundchens

I'm back in the gym after almost 4 weeks. It totally feels weird. I was gone for a less than a month and all of a sudden, everything is different. The crowd is different (well it's actually the same crowd, but most of them lost weight and I totally feel like I'm Tyra Banks amidst a pool of super skinny Giselle Bundchens.

I didn't get to talk to a lot of old friends. I wanted distance coz after all, the nicest thing they could come up with is "hey you gained weight! Where were you??". Like duh, that's exactly the reason why I'm back, stupid. :)

Tonsilitis

I have had occasional chills for the past couple of days. I mustered every strength I have left to go to the doctor and get checked coz apparently I got a bit paranoid from all the swine flu hype we have been hearing in the news lately. I thought that if this really was swine flu, then I could be the first case in the Philippines and I bet I'll be all over the papers the next day. Talk about being an instant celebrity.

Good thing the doctor told me that this was all because of tonsilitis. Im not saying tonsilitis is good, I mean there's nothing nice about it all. Both areas are inflamed and I'm now getting huge antibiotic shots until the next 7 days.

I've got nothing and noone to blame but the big pack of chocolate crinkles I ate last Saturday.

Disco Night

I enjoyed Disco night too much I've been digging for live performances over the net for like half my shift albeit tons of deadlines and quota. This is by far the only episode in Idol that I have applauded each and every single contestant for an awesome performance--- even Lil Rounds and Anoop.

Tonight will be elimination night and I fear my girl Allison will be on the bottom three despite great reviews. She's been in the bottom 3 twice despite solid performances each week. If this happens, then Giraud's save last week was a total waste of great talent.

Super nice.

Vain

You had me several years ago when I was still quite naive
Well you said that we made such a pretty pair
And that you would never leave
But you gave away the things you loved and one of them was me
I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and...

Youre so vain, you probably think this song is about you
Youre so vain, Ill bet you think this song is about you
Dont you? dont you?

Faking

Some pains just don't die. No matter how hard you let go of it, some pains just stay.

Some pains just don't die a natural death. A lot of them don't die at all. And most of the time, you're left with no other choice but to fake it. You show the world that life must go on, and that you have everything right under control.

But sometimes our facades aren't that perfect. Sometimes friends will catch us just staring blankly in space, or humming a sad tune alone, or sometimes sad words just slip by. You immediately say "oh I got that from a movie" or "it's someone else's story, not mine---me? in pain? no way"

Some pains just don't die. Some you bury alive--- but and it calls your name over and over again, haunting you every second, every minute of every f*cking day.

Giraud Saved from Idol Elimination *whew thank God...

Im so glad Matt Giraud got saved from idol. I think he deserves a couple of more weeks, Simon was right, he doesn’t have any chance of winning the title. Personally I think he deserves a spot in the top 5 alongside Allison Iraheta, Chis Allen, Daney Gokey and Adam Lambert.

If this would happen to be this year's top 5, then this is going to be the BEST top 5 ever.

I'm bored with Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai. I am positive Lil Rounds and Anoop will leave next week. I woudnt be shocked.

Photographs and Marriages

I got this from Yahoo today and I found it really interesting. The article talks something about the relationship between your yearbook picture (or old photographs at that) and the success of your marriage. Read on:

If you want to know whether your marriage will survive, look at your spouse's
yearbook photos. Psychologists have found that how much people smile in old
photographs can predict their later success in marriage....(Scoring was based on the stretch in two muscles: one that pulls up on the mouth, and one that creates wrinkles around the eyes.)

In a second trial, the research team asked people over age 65 to provide
photos from their childhood (the average age in the pictures was 10 years old).
The researchers scored each person's smile, and found that only 11 percent of
the biggest smilers had been divorced, while 31 percent of the frowners had
experienced a broken marriage.

Overall, the results indicate that people who frown in photos are five times more likely to get a divorce than people who smile.
I would like to think that this is because the happy ones tend to pair up with other happy individuals thus they would end up both happy being together.

I went out of my way to look at my old yearbook pictures.

If this study were 100% credible, than looks like someone here's gonna have one helluva happy marriage. *grins*

Happy Birthday Chubaboink!

My baby's turning 2 today... Whew, how swift time flies :)

Happy Birthday Baby Kole...

Thank You in Advance, Adele!

Psssssssssst!

I had my share of scary stories today…

Over lunchbreak, Adong, Jessica and I shared scary stories--- it felt a bit weird coz we usually chat about men and sex and poop. I am all freaked out now coz I can't take the stories off my head.

This should be the perfect time to watch T2 with my Bunbun...

Saving the Best and The Worst for Last

I'm back from my 9-day trip to Palawan and from the airport I went straight to the office to work. I woke up around 5AM so I could wake all the other guys up for the most exciting part of the trip--- a trip to one of the Greatest Natural Wonders of the world, the Palawan Subterranean River.

We finished the trip before lunch and I was already feeling a bit groggy as our driver brought us back to the city--- I think we were on the road for more than a couple of hours. I would've wanted to sleep in the car but the view outside was just to awesome to miss. And besides, this is my last day in Palawan so I better have my spare bio-battery activated.

We then had a trip to the city's palengke to buy our pasalubongs. It was hot, and I was sweating all over. My white no longer looked white. The palengke is a jungle~ anything can happen within the next couple of hours so there was no way for me to stay tatanga-tanga.

At this point my biggest ambition in life was just to be in bed with my big pillows and the aircon at super-cool mode.

We arrived at the Puerto-Princessa Airport 2 hours before our flight because there was nothing else to do in the city. I thought I could rest but the waiting lounge was packed I could barely raise a leg.

We took the afternoon flight and arrived at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport a couple of hours before my shift, just enough for me to brave the evening city traffic heading home and take a super-quick shower. I didn’t even have the time to unpack my pasalubongs.

I am now sitting at my desk, light-headed and on my nth stick. I think I'm gonna puke in a few seconds.

Hickey

I'm looking at your pictures…
And the hickey is disturbing.
I'm trying to brush it off~ but the pain is unbearable.
I took care of you like my most precious crystal
And now it's wasted~

I hate to see you give yourself away
To someone you barely even know
I wish I could just hold your hand right now
Close both my palms around it
So you would know that I still care

I still do…

Off To Palawan

I am busy printing my flight itineraries to Palawan and back, and the boat trips in-between. I am excited as this is yet another adventure that I could add to my portfolio as a certified Laagan. We (Atan, Tope, Jazzy, Calai, Bao, Deu and Sanny) have been planning this since we commenced from last year's trip to Siquijor and Apo Island and so far, everything is going well.

I haven't packed yet, I'm still in the office and I barely have 2 hours to deliberate on what to bring and what not. I'll be aboard a lite-fare flight that'll only allow me to bring a 15-pound carry on, and the thought of it makes me shudder. How on earth can I fit my summer entourage on a small luggage?

Anyways, up till now my ego and super-ego is still torn between the Palawan trip and a quick trip to Bantayan. I'd like to go to Bantayan and have some quality time with Ian, let alone my guy friends who regularly party there every Holy Week. There's always next time though, but I'm so gonna be missing my Bunbun, and anything and everything I used to enjoy in Cebu on a Holy Week.

I'll see you guys soon!

Megan, Out

I had by far the most memorable birthday celebration--- by a FAR mile.

Apart from claiming this as this year's biggest and grandest day of my life, March 28 is also when we celebrate Earth Hour (which means so much to me since I'm a big advocate on anything and everything that's to be done for the love of Mother Nature).

The past 3 weeks had been really tough for me. As you know, my Dad had been admitted to the ICU due to heart failure and I had been struggling financially since then. Other than that, I was nearing towards the end of my first sales quarter at work, which means that I'm always on the thickest of things and I barely had time to breathe in between tasks and to-do's. I barely have time to think on how to think things through some really complex tasks--- they just come and go and by God's grace I'm still sane at this point :)

The nicest thing about celebrating your birthday is you get to appreciate what you have. This year I realized that money never really was an issue-- you can have the time of your life even if you have practically nothing. I just had one :) The love I had around me was THE party in itself.

I shouldn’t let this post pass without getting to thank the people who have been with me through thick and thin. Thank you to my ever-supportive family, we are closer now more than ever and I thank God for that. To my Lexmark family, thank you for the cake and the food and the surprise celebration. To my friends at work~ especially my supplies family, Nina, Marla, Angel, Alphie and the rest, my NA Channel and warranties friends, thank you for the celebration. To my Microsoft family for the support that knows no bounderies and distance, thank you. To the Laagans (Atan, Tope, Deo and Vanz, Bao, Sanny and Mede, Arjay and Nicky, Jazzy and Chai), for always giving me a reason to smile on these tough times and for helping me out financially when my Dad got hospitalized. To my friends at the gym~ Cleff, Jude, Kristianne, Max, etc for always making me laugh. To Adong for the BBQ party he set-up (I know nakatapal ka cuz, hehehe), thank you so much! To my roommate Marcial for the dinner party, to my Doce friends for the hugs and "kisses" hahaha--- thank you, thank you, thank you.

27 and Counting~~~

I Never Thought I'd Live To See The Day...

And I thought she's just another talentless singer who gets too much hype from all her fancy antics. I got blown away when I saw her play the piano.

All hail Lady Gaga.

Bad Surgeries Happen to Unhappy People

I don't know what's happening but I used to be such a big fan on Gretchen's beauty, like if you'd ask me to write down 5 of the most people women in Philippine show business, she would definitely and without regret be part of my list.

I was watching her "Tough 10" interview at the Buzz (with Boy Abunda) and I got so bothered at how rubber-like her face looked--- not that it's ugly, I mean it's still Gretchen. But the changes are so obvious that it made her look like a Gretchen impersonator, like some pretty cross-dresser who happens to have the same flawless skin and demeanor. And her lips looked unusually plump it looked like it she just had some allergic reaction to her lipstick or something.

I am not against surgeries, at some point in our lives we get to be unhappy with what we have. But it doesn;t really make sense to have something altered in your face especially when you are Gretchen Barretto, I mean what the hell is she thinking?
